Yesterday, the 18 November at 06h30 we recieved a call at our 24/7 Ops Room about a duiker ram caught in a palisade fence. The RNW First Responders went out to see what was happening. The Ops Room then contacted a Johanesburg Wildlife vet Georgina Lackinger who is on call for these types of incidents. The duiker was then freed using a car jack to push open the palisades. The vet checked the duiker for injuries, and was then sedated for transportation to a safer part of the ridge to be released.
